Thanksgiving (Nov 2013)

We spent Thanksgiving this year in Ohio with the Narduccis... and the snow!

We spent 4 wonderful days, basically in our pj's, eating and playing games and watching tv, and... well...eating. We did leave the house once to take a ten minute walk with Davy!

Before we left for the trip I was a little nervous about how Davy would sleep. She had just started sleeping through the night, and now we were going to change her whole schedule and environment. 
Her sleep was amazing! She was so exhausted from playing with her aunts and uncles and grandparents and Lacy (the dog) that by naptime and bedtime she was pooped! Grandma Mary set up a whole play area, Davy had so much fun every day exploring her new toys. 

Everyone pitched in and helped make the Thanksgiving meal. We ate and laughed and gave thanks for all our blessings. Davy especially enjoyed the sweet potato casserole. 

On Saturday night, Mary and the fam babysat Davy while Mike and I went to his 20 year high school reunion! I  was excited to meet all of his old friends, and attend my first ever high school reunion. His classmates were so nice, and all so close, it made me want to send Davy to a private small high school when she's older. We had a great time talking to everyone and then tearing it up on the dance floor! It felt good to have a fun date night and know that Davy was sleeping soundly at Grandma and Grandpa's. 

It's a long flight with a baby to Ohio- but it's worth it! We had such a great time!

8 Months (Nov 2013)

I know that last month I said 7 months was my favorite age. But now 8 months is my favorite!
