Great Grandma Shirley's Visit (Nov. 2013)

Grandma Shirley is a wonderful house guest. She cooks, cleans, wakes up early but then goes back to sleep, watches the baby for me, entertains us with her storytelling, and she makes the best oatmeal pancakes you have ever tasted in your life. She even brought her own snacks and kleenex! Who does that?!

We had a family brunch at our house that weekend, and Grandma did everything. All I did was drive her to the grocery store! She bought the groceries, put them away when we got home, prepped all the veggies, sliced and stored, set up on trays... everything. I just woke up on Saturday and got dressed! Seriously- best house guest ever.

We had a week with Grandma Shirley and it was lovely. We can't wait for our next visit! But next time you come Grandma- don't bring anything! We have toilet paper and food here! :)
