Dayvia's First Fiesta

One year old. That deserves a party!
To celebrate on her actual birthday-- Mike and I had Rachel babysit and we went out for sushi and sake! We talked about the year, our top 3 favorite moments, our fears and anxiety, our triumphant moments, we remembered the moment we met our daughter. We toasted to our daughter's first birthday, and to our first anniversary of becoming parents!

We also wanted to have a party for our little girl. So we invited her baby friends over for a fiesta! I figure that the next 10 years will be requests for princesses and ponies and tea parties. So for this first birthday- it was tacos, cerveza, a pinata, and her first taste of cake.

Grandma Mary, Grandpa Carmen, Grandma Zellie and Grandpa Howard came in for the weekend! We were so happy to have them there to celebrate and help with the party.
